The RTO office in India is shouldered with the
resposiblity of ensuring good working of the
transportaion system of India. In India, the
Regional Transport Ofice has come into being to
execute the laws mentioned under the MVA, 1988.

The main job of an RTO office is to execute the
provisions of the motor vehilces act, 1988. A
regional trasnport office is headed a Transport
Comissioner whose job is to ensure hassle free
working of the trasnport system all over India.

in India, the RTO office has come into being. The
RTO office is responsible to carry out functions
such as issuance of permit for goods carriage,
issuance of fitness certificate, tourist vehicle
permit and others.

drivers and vehicles all over India. Hence, to
handle this responsiblity a Regional Transport
Office has come into being to take care of all
the transport related activities in the country.
