are chances that your vehicles thermostat is
faulty. - Overcooled engines lead to increased fuel

3Steps to replace your vehicles thermostat
- Step 1 Let the engine cool down before working
on any part of the cooling system. - Step 2 Carefully remove the hose connected to
the thermostat. - Step 3 A significant amount of coolant will
spurt out of the hose when it is disengaged.
4- Step 4 Now inspect the positioning of the
thermostat. - Step 5 Before removing the thermostat, make sure
you are thorough with the configuration and how
it should be attached again. - Step 6 Now, loosen the bolts manually and remove
the faulty thermostat.
5- Step 7 Remove the old gasket and the remnants of
the old seal from the thermostat. - Step 8 Clean the mounting surface.
- Step 9 Since you are installing a new
thermostat, make sure other cooling parts like
coolant hoses, water pump, and pressure caps are
in good condition.
6- Step 10 Put the new thermostat back in
place. Make sure the copper heat- sensing
element is facing the coolant flow coming from
the engine. - Step 11 Following the manufacturers torque
specifications, tighten the bolt of the
thermostat. - Step12 Re-attach the hose.
