Advantages of Studying In India

  • India is a developing country with an
ever-increasing economy where more importance is
given to the skilled population. Education is one
of the most important skills in the recent times.
However, with the increase in the demand for
education, the fees of the educational
institutions have soared through the roof. This
has caused distress for many students and parents
alike. Parents spend most of their savings in
their childs studies, yet are unable to collect
the required amount of capital required. However,
unlike the earlier times when there were no
alternatives except the traditional money lenders
who would charge exorbitant interest rates on the
loaned principal amount. In the recent times,
there are a number of banks and NBFCs
    (non-banking financial institutions) who would
provide the same monetary assistance at
comparatively lower interest rates. Thus, helping
the students to pursue the educational field of
their choice, without surrendering to the
    financial burdens of study fees.

Why study in India?
  • In the recent years, India has been the focus of
advancing educational studies and has established
itself as one of the educational hubs. Because of
this, there are more numbers of students not only
from India but from around the world applying for
the various courses available in order to study
in India. The various courses available in the
country for study purposes range from traditional
to non-traditional courses such as engineering,
medicine, arts, law, hotel management, mass
media, and much more. Even the banks and NBFCs
(non-banking finance companies) are keen to
empower the students by providing them with
financial assistance in the form of educational
    loans.
  • Are all expenses included under the education
    loans?
  • The education loans not only take care of ones
college fees, tuition fees and the cost of study
material but also take care of the other
    miscellaneous expenses incurred by that
    individual while completing the course.

  • What is the collateral required in order to
    procure a student loan?
  • The collateral required is determined by the
principal loan amount taken from the bank. The
    different types of collaterals are
  • Residential property in the form of house, flats,
and apartments can be kept as collateral.
  • Even ones savings which are in the form of FDs
(fixed deposits) and RDs (recurring deposits) can
be kept as security with the bank.
  • One can provide his existing house mortgaged on a
second charge basis as collateral as long as it
is equivalent to the required security coverage.
  • Any non-agricultural land can be kept as
collateral in order to procure a loan with the
bank or NBFCs (non-banking financial companies).
  • His or her life insurance policy can be kept as
collateral as long as it meets the required
    security coverage criterion.
  • The various education loans provided by banks and
NBFCs (non-banking financial companies) at lower
interest rates have encouraged students to pursue
higher education and study in India. This has
resulted in the overall growth of student
    education in the country.
