  • The working environment in garments production
industry of most of the nations, particularly
Bangladesh remind us of earlier development of
garment industries. The state of employment in
many textiles and clothing units in the
developing nations take us back to those set up
    in Bangladesh garment industry.
  • In a way, the Western companies are guilty of
pitiable working atmosphere in the Garments
production. The developed nations are interested
to make more profit and therefore, the developing
nations are forced by them to cut down the
manufacturing cost. In order to exist in the
competition of the market, most of the developing
nations choose immoral practices. By introducing
terms and conditions in the business, the global
economy has very few choices for the developing
    nations.

2
  • There are two options to tackle the challenge of
the competitive world originated by the constant
pressure of global garment chain. One can proceed
to exist in the competition by taking over
time-honoured work systems or shocking practices.
But it is unsure how long they can go on to
exist. In connection with the garment industry of
Bangladesh, we can say that this is the perfect
time to follow a competitive policy, which
    enhances the quality.
  • To rule the global market, Bangladesh has come
out of low output complex in the garment
industry. Bangladesh has improved labour output
through constant training, use of upgraded
    technology and better working environment.
Bangladesh is planning a strategy intended for
    promoting skill development, speeding up
    technology transfer and improving productivity
    height of the workers.

3
  • Another method is to adopt best system or ethical
course. Those industries, which respond to
enhance competition by stressing quality, fast
answer of the customers, reasonable practices for
labourers should have the most advanced
practices. We are now living in the age of
competition in providing high quality over
cost-reduction policy. The aim of alter efforts
at the workplace has been varied over the time.
It is essential for a company to engage a
competitive policy that betters the flexibility,
    quality, innovation and customer care.
  • For every industry, to get increased sales and
better name amongst consumers, it is important to
maintain a level of quality. Especially for the
businesses engaged in export business has to
maintain a high level of quality to ensure better
    business globally. Generally quality control
standards for export are set strictly, as this
business is also holds the image of the country,
whose company is doing the export. Export houses
earn foreign exchange for the country, so it
becomes compulsory to have best quality control
    of their products.

4
  • In the garment industry quality control is
practiced right from the very initial stage of
sourcing raw materials to the stage of final
finished garment. However quality prospects for
export are related to the type of customer
    segments and the retail outlets.
  • There are a number of factors on which quality of
garment production is based such as - durability,
    performance, reliability, visual and perceived
quality of the garment. The garments production
Bangladesh clearly defines in terms of the
special framework of cost with the national
    regulatory quality certification and
international quality programmes based on which
companies maintain the export quality in the
garment industry. Some of main fabric properties
that has been taken into consideration for
garment manufacturing for export basis in
    Bangladesh are
  • . Overall look of the garment.
  • . Right information about the garment.
  • . Physical properties.
  • . Colour fastness of the garment.
  • . Finishing properties
  • . Presentation of the final produced garment.
