Is there a Way to Avoid Costly Refrigerator
Repairs? You do not realize how much load your
refrigerator is taking until it refuses to
function properly. In this situation, you should
know a specialist who could come immediately and
make living easier for you. However, the problem
is that unless you have selected a professional
repair company, you may not be able to get a
technician late at night or so early in the
morning. Even when someone arrives, you will
have to cough up money to get your refrigerator
fixed. Here are some simple maintenance tips that
can prolong the lifespan of your
refrigerator. Pay attention to coil cleaning If
you want to increase the lifespan of your
refrigerator and want to enhance its efficiency,
it is advised to clean its coil twice a year.
Usually, refrigerator coils are located at the
bottom of the fridge or at the backside of the
refrigerator. They are responsible for
maintaining the inside temperature of the
refrigerator and cooling the refrigerants. They
are heated when supplied with electricity and do
their job. The coils of refrigerator often get
clogged with dust and dirt particles after some
time which affects their efficiency. When
refrigerator coils are not clean they consume
more electrical energy and lowers down the
efficiency of the refrigerator. To clean the
coils empty all the contents from your fridge and
unplug it from the power supply. Then remove the
protective grill of the coil. Now clean the coils
with a coil cleaning brush to remove all clogged
dust from the coils. Now wipe the coils with a
soft cloth and place the protective grill back on
its place. Cleaning coils regularly will save
your refrigerator service charges and will
enhance its efficiency along with extending its
estimated life. It will also reduce your
electricity consumption. Clean the condenser
fan Condenser fan is located near the compressor
of the refrigerator. It circulates air to cool
down the coils under the refrigerator. Often dirt
particles, dust, and even paper get stuck in the
fan which effects its performance. Sometimes the
condenser fan even stops working due to obstacles
in its way that increases the heating of the
coils and thus affects the efficiency of the
refrigerator. To clean the condenser fan, unplug
the refrigerator from the power main and roll it
over. Remove the lower back cover to access the
fan. Wipe the pan gently with damp cloth and
remove all dirt particles and other obstacles
from there. Empty the water-collecting tray and
then put the cover back. Regular cleaning of
condenser fan along with coils will influence the
efficiency of the refrigerator in a positive
manner and will lower down your electricity bills
by reducing power consumption. Doing these two
steps regularly can significantly lower your risk
of having a bad refrigerator at home.
Unfortunately, things can still go wrong because
of many other issues, and when it happens, be
sure to let only a professional and experienced
technician to have a look at your
refrigerator. Article source http//www.home2cen
