The mountains around Vancouver Island are one of
my personal favorites. Im a sucker for high
altitude so being able to easily drive up to a
scenic lookout is amazing. The parking lots in
the national parks allow visitors to park just a
short walk away from iconic spots.

It is nestled just North of Washington and just
West of the city of Vancouver. There are plenty
of ferries that you can drive to in order to
reach the island in a short amount of time. Once
youre there, youll have one of the largest
islands in North America to explore.

Vancouver Islands beaches are some of the most
beautiful in the world. The water may be a little
too cold to swim in, but the view is perfect.
There are even spots on the beach-lined coast
that offer an amazing view at the snowy mountains
in the distance.

As I said before, the water around the island can
get pretty cold, especially near the north side.
However, that hardly stops anyone from taking a
boat out for the day. Romantic kayak rides make
for the perfect wedding photos for the outdoors
and adventurous types.

The amount of wildlife that youll find is
unbelievable. Many of them are new and exotic to
visitors from southern U.S. states. Black bears,
elk, wolves and much more can be found in the
forest on the island while the water can be home
to sea otters, seals, and even whales! Tourist
are always lucky if they get to see the Orcas
first-hand!
