4Class 99 Trademark Forms and Fees
Trademark registration has been classified
into various classes as per the NICE
classification included in the trademark
registration process once the NICE agreement was
signed by the Indian government. As per this
classification, Indian Trademark application has
been divided into 45 Classes based on different
types of goods. The fees charged by the
government official is separate for every class
which has to be paid in one go at the time of
filling application. Hence the amount will vary
by the application.
5Advantages of Registering a TM under Class 99
- Divisional trademark application incurs the time
and costs more than single trademark application.
Hence it is recommended to file a single
application of trademark for multiple classes. - A trademark fee in case of registering a
trademark under class 99 incurs lesser fees as
compared to filling trademark for every class
separately. - It reduces the examination workload and
simplifies the administrative work when the
application is filed. - Future renewal, assignment and any change which
is to be recorded are done efficiently??
