• With the UIDAI being implemented with the default
  definition as of July 1, the way financial
  institutions verify customer information will
  change. The default ID is a 16-digit random
  number assigned to Aadhaar. They can not be
  generated, replaced or canceled by the owner of
  the Aadhaar number. "It will not be possible to
  draw Aadhaar's number of virtual identity," said
  a circular issued by the institute in January.
  There will only be a valid and active adhar
  virtual ID for the Aadhaar number at any time.

How to Generate Virtual ID?

• Aadhaar's number holders can create a default ID
  from the UIDAI site, the Aadhaar registration
  center, or the mAhahaar application. All the user
  needs to ensure that his or her mobile phone
  number is linked to the Aadhaar database so that
  it can receive a one-time password or a one-time
  password to create VIDs. The installation was
