Title: Bone Conduction Headphones

1
BONE CONDUCTION HEADPHONES
2
Brief on Bone Conduction Headphones
  • Bone Conduction Headphones- it helps in
conduction of sounds to the inner ear with the
helps of bone of the skull. It can transmits
through individuals with normal or impaired
    hearing.
  • Thats why we have different voices of the
different persons because the frequencies of the
    skull is lower than air.
  • Example- Musician uses bone conduction for
tuning stringed instruments to a tuning fork.

3
Bone Conduction- How it works?
  • As we know we all have hear sounds through our
bones and eardrums. With the help of eardrums we
convert the sound waves to vibrations and
    transmits them to the cochlea.

4
How we usually hear?
  • Normal sound waves are actually tiny vibrations
in the air. The vibrations travel through the air
to our eardrums. The eardrum vibrate and decoded
these sound waves into different types of
vibrations that are received by the Cochlea. It
connected to our auditory nerve through which we
can transmits the sounds to the brain.

5
How we hear with bone conduction?
  • Bone conduction bypasses the eardrums. In bone
conduction listening, the bone conduction devices
perform the role of the eardrums and also decode
sound waves and convert into vibrations that
helps in receiving directly the Cochlea.

6
Benefit with hearing loss for people
  • It causes due to damage of the eardrums.
  • In bone conduction, we dont use the eardrums for
those who are having hearing difficulties.
  • It can be categorized into three that are
conductive hearing loss, perspective hearing loss
    and mixed hearing loss.
