• A 45-year-old International Patient Mrs. Afroz
  consulted at CK Birla Hospital RBH, Jaipur from
  Dhaka for a complicated incisional hernia. She
  consulted Dr. Sundeep Jain, Director GI, HPB and

Thyroid Storm A Rare Disease Treated by
Plasmapheresis Technique

• Thyroid storm is a rare condition of thyroid
  caused due to the sudden release of thyroid
  hormones from the thyroid gland. A 50-year-old
  lady Mrs. Surji Devi was case of hyperthyroidism
  since 15 years. The patient was admitted with
  severe symptoms of thyrotoxicosis with
  palpitations, vomiting and increased heart rate.

Safety First Ambulance Mock Drill

• CK Birla Hospitals RBH, in association with Times
  of India, had organized a unique initiative
  Ambulance Mock Drill. The aim of this mock
  drill was to create awareness among the people
  for giving way to ambulance especially in chaotic
  traffic of the city. During this mock drill, the
  hospital ambulance was made to pass through heavy
  traffic to gauge the reactions of the people and
  the response time in giving the way to an
  ambulance.
