Thunderous applause, loud cheering, pride and
ecstasy all fill up a person who participates
in the marching band contest and becomes
triumphant in the finals. Surprises galore for
the team who wins the contest and appreciations
pours in like heavy rains. However, in the midst
of all this, there is a silent heart who knows
how much hard work was given into for that
victory.   The instrumentals and the ensemble
combination do wonders on the stadium and that
comes only from proper planning. Tougher is to
bring the rhythmic music composition programs,
but more important is the integration of the
band. Now, the teams whove been waiting for a
long time to put up a spectacular show in front
of the audience would have buckled up fiercely
and working on a strategy. Thats where the
contest just began.   How to work together that

in the beginning and not during the show.

Putting the band together   Its just an
objective towards the goal. The bands which are
afraid to identify their weaknesses are less
likely to win the contest. Lets not forget that
the band has an identity and if it isnt there,
then it has to be made. It uniquely identifies
the band as a single entity and also makes it a
memorable part of each persons memory. Once the
band is in unison, its the right time to put a
step forward.   Identifying the strengths and
weaknesses   It is absolutely necessary for a
band to recognize its strength and weakness
points. Is it the ensemble or instrument or
synchronization or anything else? Whats the
major point that can be emphasized and
experimented at the same time? Questions like
these bolster the bands power and minimize the
weak trait. Moreover, it allows adding a new
element to the music as well.   Theme selection
and presentations   Joint efforts in picking up a
theme are much better than singular inclusions.
Indeed, it helps a lot when the bands gather
together and brainstorm ideas for the theme
selection. Ultimately, it enhances the beauty of
coordination and friendship at the same time.
Meanwhile, theres so much about exploration that
nobody would ever have imagined before.

Buying compositions and arrangements   Lately,
there has been a provision when marching band
sheet music could be bought in from the music
production company. Significantly, they also
offer several packages, which include theme
presentations, wind parts, full scores, ensemble
parts, new or existing compositions and
arrangements and so on. A band will need to
understand its priorities and then approach these
companies. The band may seek contest protection
as well.   Budget and policies   A band needs
to prepare a realistic budget after discussions
with the music production company. There are
certain policies that that the band needs to
check and determine if the company is suitable
for purchasing or commissioning a show.
