1. Celebrity stylist duties versus personal
stylist dutiesThe biggest difference is when
styling a celebrity for the red carpet, I pull
from showrooms and designers, with very little
actual shopping. Designers want the celebrity to
wear their clothing or accessories to make their
brand more known its a form of advertising.
Working with a private client is always only
shopping. Also, with a celebrity, there are more
things to consider for instance, how the look
will photograph, the publicists opinion, and the
fans!
2. What Does a Los Angeles Personal Shopper
Do?Firstly, I meet with my client and go over
their needs, as well as evaluate their current
wardrobe. We then make new outfits with the
clothing she already owns. Often, new pieces are
needed, so I will shop specifically with her in
mind. Often, I work with clients over long
periods, getting new pieces with each season. I
also style looks for special occasions, public
engagements, and travel.
