Are you Ready for your US Higher Education Visa
Interview? Heres Some Quick Advice!
2US Higher Education Visa Interview
Education and more precisely foreign education
are booming in India. A large number of students
apply for higher education in US institutions and
Universities. The application season has just
started and yet there is so much to deal with so
as to clear and reserve a seat for you than just
the talent. The United States is the land of
opportunities to explore a vast range of career
choices and attain a degree which is
internationally recognized. One of the
significant parts in the entire application
process is the visa interview.
3Best Advise for US Visa Interview
A recent statement made by a senior official
during media interaction at US Embassy last week
advised students about not coming for visa
interviews with prepared or crammed speech. Lets
see what works when prepared answers are about to
fail.
BEING NERVOUS

4Being Nervous
Dont worry about rejection just for being
nervous. Getting nervous on an interview is
absolutely fine as long as you are able to still
express yourself. Many students get visa
approvals even in the face of being nervous. What
matters here is that the student exhibits the
ability to listen carefully and reply to their
questions with apt answers. Prepared answers
sabotage your brain during nervousness and your
spurt out answers which you have specially
prepared for the interview. Irrelevant answers
raise a question mark on your ability to
comprehend.
5HIGH NUMBER OF APPLICANTS
Looking at the huge number of applicants and the
significant role of higher education in India-US
relations, data reveals that on in every six
foreign students in US is from India. Yet there
are some education counselors who mislead the
Indian applicants and this creates a gap in the
learning and assimilation of facts. With more
than 4,000 accredited universities in the US, it
is limiting for a candidate to use counterfeit
documents for proving their eligibility which
might make them permanently ineligible for visa
applications.
6STUDENT VISA DAY
With the increasing number of applicants, the US
Embassy has a Student Visa Day where in only
student visa applications are being processed.
This year, 6 June 2018 is being observed as
Student Visa Day. During the Visa application, it
takes approximately 45 minutes for a student in
the US missions in India. Of this entire
duration, it takes less than five minutes for the
visa interview.
7VISA PROCESS
Since it takes a long time in completing in the
entire process, it is advised that the students
initiate the visa process at least a year before
the start time of the semester. This makes it
easier to be able to submit the application with
complete information and documents when applying
for visa. The F Visa (the US visa for students)
applications can be submitted 120 days ahead of
the start of session. When you are prepared for
the visa application, it is easier to start
correctly and get through the visa.
