Ulticon A Contractor for Building Farm to Market
Roads for the Nation

No man is an island.  It may be an old cliché but
the meaning still holds true till this very day
because we all need each other to survive.  This
is also very applicable economy-wise.  That is
why Carlos Gonzalez of Ulticon sought to be of
service.  The company wants to be involved in
projects that make a difference, projects that
help the common Juan and those that add to
nation-building.
3
There are a lot of things we can do for our
country.  Some of the people we should help are
those who put food on our tables.  To be more
specific, let me dwell on agriculture.  The
Philippines is one of the leading countries in
providing agricultural products around the
world.  As a matter of fact, it is one of the
worlds largest rice producers.  However, all the
hard work of our farmers and all the bountiful
harvest wont mean a thing unless they get to the
consumers in time.  So, Ulticon took the
initiative of giving priority to farm to market
road projects.
4
The first ever farm to market road was built way
back in 1996 and Carlos Charlie Gonzalez, our
president, says Ulticon will not stop building
farm to market projects anytime soon.  These
roads help farmers transport their products
easier and faster because farm to market roads
connects rural or agricultural areas to market
towns.  The difficult transportation results in
higher costs which add to the market price of
these products.
5
Aside from that, Ulticon knows that there is also
a need to transport products faster and without
delay because of the fact that these products
tend to spoil easily.  This means that if they
arent able to transport harvested products soon
enough they might depreciate in value or even
worse, wont even be saleable.
6
We all know that most of our farmers rely on
loans to fund their businesses.  That is why it
is essential that we protect their interests in
all aspects.  Therefore, the support they receive
from us should include helping them sell their
products at the highest possible price.  Carlos
Gonzalez of Ulticon knows that we should be
thankful to the agricultural sector because they
provide the food we eat every day.
