• Types and applications of transformer oil are
  different types. Transformer works according to
  the quality of transformer oil. Transformer oil
  used as the insulation power of the transformer.
  It is a liquid insulation in electrical power
  transformer and consumes heat generated by
  transformers. Different types of transformer oil
  have different types of properties and work.

Types of transformer Oil

• Actually, there are four types of transformer
  oil, but we use two types of transformer oil
  mostly. They are
• Naphthenic-based transformer oil Naphthenic base
  transformer oil provides better low-temperature
  performance, which makes them ideal for
  formulation hydraulic fluids and automatic
  transmission fluids.
• Paraffinic-based transformer oil This oil has
  good thermal and oxidation durability and good
  temperature viscosity feature.
• Silicone-based transformer oil This oil is an
  environmental safe replacement for transformer.
  It has the feature of high stability.
• Bio-based transformer oil Bio-based transformer
  oil is obtained from the vegetable oil
  feedstocks. It is non-toxic in nature.

Applications of Transformer Oil

• Distribution Transformer This application of
  transformer are installed in the location of the
  city to provide the voltage at the consumer
  terminals.
• Power Transformer This application of
  transformer are are those transformer which are
  installed at an end of long high voltage
  transmission lines
