Title: Benefits of Using Ductless AC Systems

1
Benefits of Using Ductless AC Systems
Ductless AC systems are a common preference for
homeowners with inadequate space, as they are the
best way to promote an existing system or add a
new one without much disturbance. They are also
commonly referred to as splits, mini splits and
mini split-system air conditioners. The ductless
air conditioner works as heat pumps that reduce
the temperature of indoor spaces by shifting
warmth away. They comprise an outdoor condenser /
compressor, a conduit or tubing that connects the
two units and interior air-handling unit.
2
Some of the key benefits that Ductless AC systems
offer are explained below These systems do not
depend on combustible fuels and do not release
combustion gases, so there is no requirement for
venting or ductwork. This interprets into
better energy efficiency, as there is no air loss
or thermal leakage that usually takes place with
ducted distribution systems. Ductless ACs can be
installed easily and quickly by a certified HVAC
repair and installation contractor. Unlike
other HVAC appliances, the refrigerant for these
systems is pre-installed, so the contractor just
needs to put the indoor unit in place and drill a
small hole on the exterior wall in addition to
pass the conduit to the interior one from the
exterior unit.
3
The indoor unit of mini split-system air
conditioners can throw cool air into specific
areas. This helps to reduce energy waste, and
also enables you to maintain the maximum
temperature for any area you are using. These
systems are very flexible, as the tubing or
conduit enables for the indoor air-handling unit
to be moved and positioned precisely where you
want it. This unit can be installed on a wall or
placed on the floor, and since it is remote
controlled, you can modify the heating or cooling
as per your preferences with no hassle. One of
the most common reasons for the popularity of
mini split-system air conditioners is that they
can be used all through the year. The heat pump
can throw hot air out as well as within. On the
other hand, central air conditioners are only
helpful in the hotter months, as they cannot be
utilized for heating except they are combined
with furnaces or heat pump units in the winter.
4
However, it is important to keep in mind that
ductless systems cannot heat your home greatly,
particularly if the outdoor temperature is less
than 30 degrees F. But, they can function as an
energy proficient substitute to all weather
ducted HVAC systems for homes with less spaces
and to some extent warmer destinations. The
small size of a ductless cooling system and its
zoning capabilities enables for greater energy
efficiency. Ductless air conditioning and heating
systems adhere to ENERGY STAR strategy, which
means they are very much energy efficient.
Improved efficiency saves money, and in
addition they also help to reduce the total
carbon output. Thus, it can be said that
ductless AC systems offer homeowners the
capability to heat and cool specific zones of
their home to the precise temperature they want,
offering reliable and outstanding year-round
comfort.
