  • From Janapadas to Independent Empires and
    kingdoms, old Indian coins from the ancient
    period are a true reflection of our rich
    traditions, culture and history.
  • This rectangular old coin of India issued by
    Gandhara Janapada bore the denomination 1
    Shatamana and was produced using the punch-marked
    technique featuring the six-symbol inscription on
    two ends. These Indian coins are considered to be
    one of the oldest in the world.

    issued by Magadha-Mauryan Janapada. They bore
    the denomination Karshapana and were struck in
    2.9 to 3.5 grams of Silver.
