How to Apply Water Repellents on the Walls?
Clean the surface remove mold, mildew, and
anything that could prevent proper penetration.
If you use a pressure washer, allow the wall to
dry for at least 24 hours.
To apply water repellent, use using a roller or
sprayer. However, you can also use a low-pressure
sprayer for better penetration. When applying the
repellent, make sure you cover both bricks and
the grout.
Apply two coats to the bricks as they are porous
materials.
Once you applied the water repellent, leave the
surface for 24-36 hours so that the material
will properly penetrate the surface.

Check solid content- Most of the water repellents
sold
by stores have 2-8 solid contents and the rest
is either water or solvent. Although both
low-solid and high-solid sealers offer the same
benefits, but the former has low performance as
compared to the latter. Usually, the
best performing sealers have 20-40 sealers.
Know your needs and budget- Deciding the
water repellents for your walls depend on various
factors- how exposed the surface to moisture and
extreme weather conditions is, how much youre
ready to spend on these products, etc. So, spend
more time to analyze your needs and budget to
choose the right product.
Check quality- Not all manufacturers provide
complete information because of quality issues.
