Signal Person Certification

• The course includes discussions on different
  types of signals used and practical scenarios to
  prepare students for a practical and written
  examination that is administered at the end of
  the course. This course includes topics such as
  crane components, proper use of the ANSI hand
  signals, crane characteristics and dynamics,
  signal person requirements per OSHA
  1926.1419-1926.1422, working near power lines,
  and voice signals.

• Methods of Instruction
• This course consists of several different
  components which include PowerPoint
  presentations, lecture, real-life case studies,
  class discussion and hands-on demonstration.
• Completion Requirements
• Students are required to complete 100 of the
  course and actively participate in all learning
  activities including hands-on demonstrations and
  the multiple choice and hands-on final exams.
  Students must obtain a score of 70 or higher on
  each to receive a certificate of completion and a
  Signal Person ID card.
