Located in Ten Sleep, a beautiful, quiet corner
of Wyoming, the Red Reflet (re-flay) is both a
working ranch and luxurious Guest Ranch Vacation
destination, that utilizes over 27,000 acres of
land which range from 4,200' to 8,300' in
elevation, encompassing many spectacular
landscapes.

The area is full of history and is recognized as
being the site of many historic battlegrounds
between Indian tribes and the white man. Among
those sites are the Bates Battle site, an
engagement in which the Arapahoe were defeated by
a coalition composed of US troops and the
Shoshone. At the Dull Knife site, Dull Knife and
Wild Hog were defeated leaving the Big Horn
Mountains under the control of the white man.
Located a few miles south of Ten Sleep is the
famous site of the Spring Creek Raid.

Activities Horseback Riding Our guests are
encouraged to experience as much of the ranch as
possible by horseback. We own a large number of
horse and can accommodate any riding level. You
will be matched to a horse that meets your
experience and riding ambition and provided with
all the tack and equipment necessary. For your
own safety we do require that you bring and use
riding boots. Enjoy the many trails on the ranch
and explore wonderful scenery and many natural
surprises. Our extensive training facilities,
including an indoor riding arena, outdoor riding
arena, outdoor round pens, stable, and dedicated
horse pastures are overseen by our resident
horse trainer and allow us to keep up our
training program all year long. Lessons for
roping, barrel racing, or just improving your
recreational riding, are always available.

Activities Cattle Activities When there is cow
work to be done, guests are welcome to cowboy
the herd riding with the wranglers to look over
the herd, moving them as needed.
From cattle drives to branding and gathering,
opportunities to experience the true western
lifestyle are based on the cattle operations
activities. Spring branding, checking newborns
and giving inoculations, sorting and pairing are
but a few of the daily activities.

Activities Mountain Cabin The Mountain Cabin
is used as a rest stop for hikes, horseback
rides, and ATV adventures by Ranch guests during
the Spring and Summer. This solar-powered,
spring-water fed cabin, has most of the
conveniences of home, and yet is several miles
from electric service! The views of the canyon
below and sunsets to the West are outstanding.
The Mountain Cabin is a 45 minute drive from the
Lodge on gravel roads. The elevation is nearly
3000' higher and it is usually 10-15 cooler than
the lower Ranch. A dinner at the Mountain Cabin,
with steaks on the grill and sunset on the
horizon, can be a real highlight and relaxing way
to end a day of outdoor adventures. The Mountain
Cabin is not used by guests for overnight stays
and has day use only during the Spring and Summer
Seasons

Activities Exploring the Ranch on ATVs There
are 20 ATVs and Side-by-Sides (SBS's), including
2 Kiddy ATVs. We provide instruction on ATV
SBS operation and safety. Each ATV has first-aid
kit and storage, many have a winch. Guided tours
are available and included or explore as a family
on a variety of trails. The Ranch has
approximately 100 miles of trails and almost all
are open to ATV's, SBS's, Dirt Bikes, Mountain
Bikes and hikers. Detail Red Reflet Ranch maps
are provided in your Chalet and welcome
basket. Open Kitchen Invitation You are
invited! Scheduled in advance, our resident chef
welcomes guests into the kitchen during prep for
meals. The chef will demonstrate cooking
techniques, and put you to work in helping to
prepare the next meal.

Activities Fishing There is a practice pond for
the fly fishing, ranch ponds for pan fish, and
outstanding trout fishing for the experienced
fishermen on private streams on nearby private
Ranches. Rock Climbing While Red Reflet has its
own climbing wall, the immediate Ten Sleep Canyon
area, offers world class climbing sites from
challenging to moderately difficult. These are
not guided by Red Reflet Ranch staff. However,
with advance notice we can endeavor to put our
guests in contact with local guides. In the
meantime, get unrivaled views of the Canyon from
our Climbing Wall! Volleyball Beach Court Set
in sand for Beach Volleyball, it is a fun pastime
for families of all ages. Situated close to the
ATV Barn, in-ground trampoline, and swing set for
the younger ones.
