What is Netgear Genie?

• NETGEAR Genie is a desktop application that runs
  on both Mac and PC.
• It can be configured to achieve NETGEAR home
  routers, providing a simple dashboard to monitor,
  repair and control home networks.

How do I access Netgear Genie?

• Install the NETGEAR Desktop genie on your PC.
• Open the NETGEAR Desktop genie software on your
  system and Click on Router Settings and select
  Remote Access for Login.
• Click on Sign up to create your Remote genie
  account.
• Fill out the blank fields and click on Create.
• Click on OK after successfully creating your
  Remote genie account.
• A confirmation E-mail will be sent to you by
  NETGEAR genie Support Team. Open that E-mail and
  click on Confirm Email to confirm your E-mail
  account.

• After confirming your E-mail account, go back to
  the NETGEAR genie on your PC.
• Log in using the Remote genie account that you
  just created.
• To register the device, click on OK. You can also
  click on the Registerbutton.
• Once registered, you can now click on Logout.
• Use your remote PC and open the NETGEAR Desktop
  genie software.
• Click on Router Settings and log in using your
  Remote genie account.
• Once logged in, a cloud icon will appear on the
  top-right corner of the Desktop genie window.
• You can now edit or manage the Guest Access,
  Wireless Settings, Parental Control, Traffic
  Meter, and Reboot options.
• After changing the settings that you want, just
  click on Logout to exit the Remote access.

What is access control on Netgear Genie?

• Once you enable the Netgear Genie app in the
  Access List where wireless devicesare not on the
  list, then you have to configure MAC filteringor
  Access Control with Smart Wizard.
• Use an Ethernet cable to attach a PC to any one
  of the four LAN ports of the NETGEAR router.

How do I stop Netgear Genie?

• Connect your mobile device to your router's Wi-Fi
  network.
• Launch the genie app.
• Click on the Sign In button.
• Enter your NETGEAR account credentials and tap
  the SIGN IN button.
• Enter your Router's admin password and tap on the
  LOGIN button.
• Hit on the Remote Access.
• Move the Remote Access slider to the left.
