Why Do You Need Chauffeur Insurance?

  • Chauffeur for insurance is specifically designed
to cover drivers of luxury, high-value cars,
which are carrying passengers who expect a high
    class of service.
  • Traditionally chauffeur drivers are dressed
smartly in a dark suit and tie, boots and a hat
and gloves and are polite and discreet. They will
assist with loading and unloading of any luggage,
considerately open doors for passengers, as they
are likely to have undergone additional driver
training courses. An executive hire or typical
chauffeur service does not use a base office and
a radio and only offers pre-booked jobs-will have
a limousine or executive type vehicle. They will
either be pre-paid on an account basis or by
    credit or debit card.

Chauffeur Vehicle Insurance Basics
  • Ultimately, its up to you and your broker to
have a policy that meets or exceeds your
    insurance needs, but chauffeur insurance
companies usually offer products that comprise of
some combination of the same basic types of
    coverage. These are

5
Property Damage Liability
  • This type of coverage protects you against any
property damage caused by you or your vehicle or
your employees if you own the fleet (should an
    accident happen).

6
Employment Practices Liability
  • You would have listened to a lot of news stories
about drivers behaving badly. This type of
coverage covers you against liability from your
drivers' actions and may also protect you should
a driver file a discrimination or harassment
    against you as the employer.

7
Collision and Comprehensive Coverage
  • These are the same as in your personal coverage.
    Collision protects you specifically against
crashes, on the other hand, comprehensive
coverage protects you against anything else, from
getting damaged in your parking lot to having
your vehicle crushed by a falling tree during a
    storm

8
Uninsured and Underinsured Coverage
  • If you're involved in an accident with the one
who doesn't carry enough insurance to cover the
costs to you, or with an uninsured driver, this
coverage will get the end and make up the
    difference.

9
Personal Injury Coverage
  • This type of coverage protects you from liability
if you or a driver you employ should hurt someone
while working. It may provide victims with cash
for medical expenses, lost income, and rehab as
well as might cover funeral costs in a worst-case
    scenario.
