124 hours in Liverpool Make the most of it
When youre in Liverpool, you certainly wont
fall short of things to do in the city. From
museums, heritage waterfront, iconic buildings to
splendid shops and more Liverpool has plenty
to keep anyone busy. While you could spend years
in Liverpool and still not see all the sights,
here are some must-do things for those who are
on a tight schedule.
2Breakfast on Bold Street
Source The Guide, Liverpool Start your day
early by heading over to Bold Street for a full
English breakfast. Rated by Lonely Planet as one
of the best shopping streets in the country, Bold
Street has plenty of restaurant options to
choose from. Try Maggie Mays or Love Thy Neigh-
bour, or head to Green Days Café if youre
looking for vegan options. Once youve had your
fill, pick up some vintage finds at Pop Boutique
and head to St. Lukes Church also known as
Bombed Out Church, for a dose of culture and
history. Once done, proceed towards the
waterfront for its museums.
3Museum of Liverpool
Source Wikipedia The best way to learn about a
city in a short time is by visiting a museum.
Learn about Liverpools story through a series
of galleries at the Museum of Liverpool on Mann
Island. The museum is open from 10 am to 5pm
every day and aims to reflect the citys global
significance through its geography, history and
culture.
4Merseyside Maritime Museum
Source Nearly There Yet ? Head over to Albert
Dock at this museum dedicated to Liverpools rich
maritime history. Its a fun place for the
entire family to visit and is a tribute to the
citys sea-trading legacy. Explore lots of ship
models and full-sized vessels, colourful mari-
time paintings, posters and even a lifejacket
from a survivor of the Titanic.
5Beatles and sightseeing walking tour
Source Liverpool Echo Liverpool is synonymous
with The Beatles. Dip into the story of the Fab
Four and where it all started by going on a
Beatles sightseeing tour. Soak in a Beatles film
and see locations that are only accessible by
foot, such as the site of Brian Epsteins record
shop. Take the walking tour to explore the Royal
Albert Dock and find out how Liverpool has
changed since the Beatles made it big. Take a
break from sight- seeing by grabbing your lunch
at one of the many eateries such as The
Smugglers Cove or Peaberry on the Dock.
6Sefton Park
Source Mersey Rail After a hearty lunch, head
towards Liverpools leafy green haven in the
south of the city. Revel in 250 acres of open
space or explore the Victorian Palm House, which
is home to Liverpools botanical collection. If
youre feeling adventurous, there are also caves
and waterfalls for you to discover. If youd
prefer a diuerent kind of park, skip Sefton and
head towards Anfield.
7Anfield
Source Talk Sport A visit to Liverpool is
incomplete without visiting Anfield Stadium. Home
to Liver- pool Football Club since 1892, this
stadium has hosted other sports personalities
from Boxing, Tennis and Rugby as well. Take a
tour of Anfield to know about the clubs
history, get a glimpse inside the changing rooms,
walk up the tunnel and get to stand on the pitch
too.
8The Cavern Club
Source The Wander Blogger End your day by
heading to the legendary Cavern Club. This
nightclub in an underground cellar was
instrumental in bringing together The Beatles and
the Rolling Stones among others. The venue was
bulldozed in the early 80s, but an interest by
Liverpool FC player Tommy Smith led to the
reopening of the Cavern Club in 1984. Come here
and experience the vibrant music scene over a few
drinks. While there are several other things you
can do to make your stay in Liverpool memorable,
we highly recommend these on your itinerary.
Most of these attractions are located close to FM
Living, which means you can move around at your
convenience and come back to unwind in one of our
luxurious rooms. Have a wonderful stay and enjoy
the sights of Liverpool!
