- Government of Pakistan is committed to improving
the quality of education which depends upon the
quality of teacher education. To enhance the
quality of teachers, National Professional
Standard for Teachers(NPSTs) were developed. - National Professional Standards for Teachers
(NPSTs) were developed by Policy and Planning
Wing, Ministry of Education, Government of
Pakistan in February 2009 with the technical
support of UNESCO and financial support of USAID.

- Iran is one country where girls and boys are
educated separately till the time they reach
college. - In fact, only women teachers take classes of
girls and male teachers for boys. - Children in Germany receive a special cone called
Schultüte, which is filled with pens, pencils,
books and snacks. - Being a teacher in Finland is very difficult.
- No private schools in Finland
- Every school is same in Finland whether it is
situated in city or outside city. - Pakistan does not give children a legal right to
free education. Only children between the ages of
5 and 9 are entitled to compulsory education. 8
