Issues

• The difference between power generation and
  capacity for transmission is also the inability
  of our governments. It means that there is a
  difference of 6,000MW between the supply
  demand. And it expressed in the form of load
  shedding in the whole country.
• According to estimation 22,000-24,000 megawatt
  electricity is needed in Pakistan. This demand
  increases up to 5 each year.
• The difference between demand and supply which
  was 5,000MW in 2013, has reached up to the level
  of 6,000MW in 2018.

• One in seven people still lacks electricity, and
  most of them live in rural areas of the Pakistan.
• One of the most common practices in Pakistan is
  leaving the lights switched on, even when they
  are not needed.

Targets

• Ensure universal access to affordable, reliable
  and modern energy services across the country.
• Find new ways to produced low cost electricity
  and make sure it can be reached to the whole
  population.
• For affordable clean energy, Pakistan requires
  more transmission lines, cost-effective
  production, better-regulated renewable energy
  markets.
• More efficient energy standards could reduce
  building and industry electricity consumption by
  12 percent.

• Pakistan need to enhance international
  cooperation to facilitate access to clean energy
  research and technology, including renewable
  energy, energy efficiency and advanced and
  cleaner fossil-fuel technology, and promote
  investment in energy infrastructure and clean
  energy technology.
• As individuals has installs UPS costs overall
  more than if government took initiative to
  install renewable project like solar power plant.
