Title: How to look after your garden decking
1How to look after your garden decking
2There's no doubt that decking has been a popular
feature in our gardens for a long time as it's
the place where we soak up the sunshine and enjoy
meals outisde our own garden right? Winter seems
to be the most tedious as it leaves your decking
slippery and dirty. Also, exposure to sunlight
can deteriorate the colour and finish. But, with
a little bit of maintenance you can make it look
great again
3How to clean decking
How to Clean Decking
Using a jet washer should do the job when it
comes to cleaning garden decking designs but we
need to make sure that it should not be a heavy
duty one. A smaller one with 1500 psi should do
the job just fine. Anything more powerful than
that and there is a chance that it can damage the
wood fibres making it very difficult to clean.
Citric acid can also be used as it is
non-hazardous but it will help brighten up the
timbers.

4How to protect decking
As wood is used it will certainly fill with dirt
and dust which will alter the brightness, colur
and appearance of the decking. The best way to
protect is by using a deckin oil, which when
applied in liquid form solidifies later on,
filing the empty pores. You will surely notice
the change in look and your deck will be ready
for the summer.
