• In Dubai, one needs to renew their vehicle
  registration each year. If you have purchased a
  new car then the registration part will be
  handled by the dealers. But it will be only for
  the first year. Rest each year owner must take
  charge of the renewal of registration. Renewal
  can be done from any emirates irrespective of the
  origin of the documents or the car.

Re- registration Criteria

• Renewal of motor registration procedure may vary
  depending upon the age and purpose of car i.e.,
  private or commercial use.
• Motor registration can be extended to 30 days
  from the date of expiry without any fines except
  driving fees.
• After that monthly late registration fine will be
  imposed from the date of expiry in addition to
  monthly driving fees.
• Motor registration will be cancelled if not
  registered for 3 years.

Renewing registrations through online

• Log in to www.rta.ae .
• After having passed your cars technical
  inspection test if it is commercially used or is
  over 3 years old.
• And also renew the motor insurance.
• Select Drivers and vehicles from the menu then
  input your RTA user ID and password.
• Pay all the fines and fees via e-payment and grab
  the temporary registration notice. And arrange to
  receive the permanent registration card by
  courier or collect it from your PO Box or RTA.

  particular car is commercially used or is over 3
  years old.
• Then proceed with your car insurance renewal and
  pay all fines and fees via e- payment.
• Then immediately print your temporary
  registration and keep safe. And arrange to
  receive the permanent registration card by
  courier or collect it from your PO Box or RTA.

  to speak to an operator.
• Pay all fines and fees.
• Then immediately print your temporary
  registration and keep safe. And arrange to
  receive the permanent registration card by
  courier or collect it from your PO Box or RTA.
