What Is Thermal Imaging

Types Of Infrared Thermal Scan

How Does Thermal Imaging Work?
  • Thermal imaging cameras transform the information
    of heat from objects from within the infrared
    spectrum into a visible light exposure for our
    eyes to see. Things above absolute zero
    temperature release thermal infrared energy,
    hence thermal cameras can passively detect all
    objects and often water damage despite there
    being a lack of ambient light.
  • To focus the infrared (IR) radiation generated by
    something, a specific type of lens is used. The
    object is scanned by a phased array of IR
    detector factors. These factors present an
    expanded temperature guide which is indicated to
    us as a thermogram. This temperature data detect
    diverse points of information for us to decipher
    what is occurring behind your walls.
  • The thermogram created by the detector is then
    converted into electrical impulses. The impulses
    are directed to a signal processing unit, which
    is a circuit card with a chip that translates the
    information into seeable display data. The signal
    processing unit sends the data to the display
    where it shows as various colors depending on the
    intensity of the infrared radiation. The sequence
    of all the electrical impulses creates the image.
