Ever thought that you can heal your physical and
emotional pain without using needles? Yes, it is
possible by following the Emotional Freedom
Technique, developed by Gary Craig. Millions of
people overlook their physical and emotional
health for one or the other reason and forget to
optimize their emotional health. As a result,
people feel incomplete, less satisfied, an
experience like being in trauma, and much more.
They think taking pills will kill the pain and
give them a good night sleep, but wait. There is
a better way to deal with it. Do not relinquish
the power of your health and happiness to doctors
and also pay hefty fees. Instead, try this
Emotional freedom technique which uses fingertips
for stimulating the energy points on the body.
This approach rotates around releasing
body/mental stress by bringing all emotions in
humans control. EFT is an effective amalgamation
of mind-body and acupressure techniques. The
prime dictum of this approach is, all the
emotions and thoughts are treated as a form of
energy and when the body releases positive or
negative energy, it affects the physical
functionality of the body.

  • This technique is easy to learn and doesnt
    consume much of your time during emotional
    freedom technique training. Traditional Chinese
    Medicine states that there lie several points on
    the body, which, when tapped gently using the
    fingertips, releases stress. Whilst you are
    doing this, you need to repeat certain phrases.
    This way, you would be able to release out all
    the negative emotions that disrupted your bodys
    energy system.
  • Tapping on the acupressure meridians (named by
    the ancient Chinese) clears blockages. So lets
    start our journey on learning this technique and
    know how does EFT work?
  • Step 1
  • Start the process by identifying the negative
    emotions or thoughts that are harming you.
    Acknowledge them and know the intensity on a
    scale of 0 to 10. O means almost negligible and
    10 means highly intense.

Step 2 No one would better than you would be
able to help you with this next step. Here, you
need to set up a phrase for yourself which should
be relatable and very specific to the emotion
that you want to eliminate. For example, if you
are an introvert or are scared of meeting a
stranger, frame a phrase like, Even though I am
scared and feel angry when a stranger looks at
me, I completely accept myself anyway. Another
one is like if someone is making fun of your
white hairs or pimples, Even though I feel rage
when someone comments on my imperfections, I
completely accept myself anyway. If you have had
a broken relationship then, Even though I am
hurt and feel devastated, I completely love,
forgive and accept myself anyway

  • Step 3
  • Now, you have to repeat the phrase set up in the
    above step while tapping on the karate chop
    point confused? Dont be. It is the soft point
    on the side of either hand, just below the little
    finger. You need to repeat the procedure for
    almost 7 times(don't sit counting).
  • Step 4
  • In this step, you need to design a reminder
    phrase which means, a snippet of the feeling
    expressed in the setup phrase at step 2. An
    example of it is, Meeting a stranger,
    comments on pimples or S/He hurt me etc.

  • Step 5
  • Here is the time, to start the real activity of
    the Emotional Freedom Technique. No doubt, the
    technique is so powerful that it has got some
    real potential and positive emotional freedom
    technique reviews. Start tapping the
    below-mentioned points while repeating the
    reminder phrase.
  • Inner eyebrow, it is located just above the inner
    corner, on the bone
  • The outer eye which is located on the outside
    edge of the eye, on the bone
  • Under the eye, right below the center of the eye
    on the bone
  • Under the nose, the part between the nose and the
    lips
  • On the chin, exactly where your chin lies
  • On the chest, locate the U shaped bone below
    your throat, go down further 2 inches (5.1 cm)
    and then move 2 inches towards either left or
    right

  • 7. Under the arm, it will be much easier for
    you to locate this
  • 8. You can also tap at the wrist points,
    inside the wrist facing each other
  • 9. Tap on the top of the head, right in the
    middle.
  • Step 6
  • Once you are done with tapping, ask yourself at
    what level of emotion you are at now? Rank it on
    a scale of 0 to 10.
  • Step 7
  • Repeat the process again i.e step 1 to 5, until
    you are able to rank the intensity level below 2.
    If you get at level 2 or less, you should set up
    the final phrase. The example of the final phrase
    is, Even though I dont like to meet strangers,
    I choose the negative feeling to let it go and it
    no longer serves me.

  • Step 8
  • The next step is to set up a reminder phrase that
    can be, I am free of the negative
    feeling(describe) now, I am more strong and
    confident now, no one can hurt me etc.
  • This EFT is often known as Emotional release
    technique, which can be helpful for the following
    conditions
  • To remove negative emotions
  • To reduce food cravings
  • For pain elimination
  • Boosting energy levels
  • Implementing positive goals.

Emotional freedom technique is more effective
than any other traditional or alternative
methods. You should focus more on the tapping
locations and techniques and have positive
affirmations. Even after trying the technique,
you are not able to release the stress, it means
you have a particularly traumatic issue. Never
give up! Consult an expert and get it cured. You
should be tapping yourself solidly but not so
hard that you hurt yourself.
