What is WordPress?

  creation tool written in PHP. 
• its probably the easiest and most powerful
  blogging and website content management system
  (or CMS) in existence today.
• It is mostly associated with blogging field but
  its still getting more presence in other fields
  like mailing list, forums, and online stores.

History

• WordPress was released on May 27, 2003, by its
  founders, Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little, as
  a Fork of b2/cafelog.
• The software is released under the GPLv2 (or
  later) license.
• It was written in PHP for use with MySQL by
  Michel Valdrighi, who is now a contributing
  developer to WordPress.

  June 2019.
