Data Concentrator Unit
Data Concentrator Unit is a microcontroller based
device which can communicate in 2 ways through
LPR and Data Concentration Unit GPRS
Network. and LPR.DCU is well designed in order
to collect data from Meter Interface Unit and
transfer the data to the central server using
GPRS. DCU is an inbuilt power supply that
withstands up to 6 KV which has a rechargeable
Li-ion battery. They collect as well as converts
analog data into digital data in the readout
format.
