Nasal polyps are non-cancerous growths that
develop on the lining of the sinus. They are
generally small in size and occur due to
inflammation caused by allergies. Apart from
causing breathing problems, nasal polyps increase
the risk of recurrent infections. ENT doctors
choose surgery as the treatment option in serious
cases of nasal polyps. If not treated properly,
nasal polyps can lead to several complications
such as sinus infection, asthma flare-ups, and
obstructive sleep apnea.

DEVIATED SEPTUM

Deviated septum is a common nose problem in which
the nasal septum is crooked or off-centred. The
nasal septum is the section which divides the
nasal cavity. The dislocation of the nasal
septum leads to breathing difficulty. ENT doctors
prescribe certain medicines to relieve symptoms
of minor cases of a deviated septum. For severe
cases, ENT doctors choose a surgery known as
Septoplasty as the treatment option.

SINUSITIS

Sinusitis occurs when the tissue lining the
sinuses get inflamed. Sinusitis can be a
complication of a number of nose complications
such as common cold, deviated septum,
nasal polyps, and allergic rhinitis. While it
isnt possible to entirely prevent sinusitis,
there are several steps you can take in order to
lower your risks. First off, if you have an
allergy, stay away from the triggers. Second,
make sure to wash your hands before touching your
face.
