Misplaced your pan card? Heres the easiest way
to re-issue

• The Permanent Account Number or PAN card is a
  crucial document for monetary transactions.
  Issued by the Income Tax Department under the
  regulation of the Central Board of Direct Taxes
  in India, it also suffices as an ID proof. It has
  a unique 10 digit alphanumeric number that helps
  to track transactions necessary to pre-empt tax
  circumvention. Once assigned, it remains in
  effect for the entire lifetime of the cardholder.
• Misplacing your pan card is not an infrequent
  occurrence. Do not get tensed up if youve lost
  your PAN card as with a simple online application
  process you can get a duplicate one without any
  hassle.

A Step by Step Guide to File for Duplicate PAN
Card Online

• Before we go to process for getting a PAN card
  online, heres a list of documents you
  require in order to issue one
• Copy of your PAN card or PAN Allotment Letter
• Identity proof
• Address proof
• Date of Birth proof
• Each of the above documents needs to be
  self-attested.

Now the following 7 steps will show you how to
apply for a duplicate PAN card online

• Step1
• Visit the official site of Tax Information
  Network National Securities Depository Limited
  (TIN NSDL) https//www.tin-nsdl.com/ and
  navigate to the bottom section where you will
  find an option of Reprint of PAN Card.
• Step 2
• Click on the aforementioned option. A new page
  will open. Choose the type of card you have lost
  i.e. individual, company, HUF, etc.

• Step 3
• You will now have to fill up a form. Carefully
  enter the correct details regarding your lost PAN
  card number, your name, email id, address, etc.
  Make sure to leave all the boxes on the left
  margin unticked.
• Step 4
• For Indian communication addresses, you have to
  make a payment of Rs. 107. If the address is
  outside the country, the fee is Rs. 989. You can
  pay via debit/credit card, net banking, or demand
  draft.
• Step 5
• After payment, submit the form along with all the
  required supporting documents such as
  photographs, ID proofs, as well as a proof of the
  formerly owned card that you want to reprint.

• Step 6
• On successfully completing the submission
  process, you will acquire an acknowledgment slip
  containing a 15 digit acknowledgment number. You
  can use it for tracking your application.
• Step 7
• Print the acknowledgment slip, paste a recent
  photo, and put your signature on it. Post it to
  the NSDL office along with the formerly mentioned
  documents and the demand draft (in case you
  havent paid the fees online). Keep in mind to
  mention APPLICATION FOR PAN CHANGE REQUEST
  N-Acknowledgment Number on the envelope.

  slip reaches the NSDL office within 15 days of
  your online form submission. Once everything has
  been verified by the concerned authority a new
  PAN card will be dispatched to you within two
  weeks. You can now get back to normal usage of
  the card without any inconvenience.
