Seychelles drinks Coral Strand Hotel
Local food and drink helps to learn better a
countrys culture. In this presentation we
created a list the national Seychelles drinks,
which tourists definitely need to try. The
largest selection of national alcoholic and
non-alcoholic beverages is presented in local
markets or in restaurants.

  • There are no restrictions on alcohol in
Seychelles. There is everything in unlimited
quantities in hotels, restaurants, cafes and
    shops.
  • Please remember
  • Drinking alcohol is permitted from 18 years.
  • Drinking in public places is prohibited.

A wide selection of different alcoholic
beverages is available on the Seychelles islands.
There is a pretty good local beer Seybrew and rum
Takamaka lovers of the exotic can try kalu" -
fermented coconut juice, or baca" - fermented
juice of sugar cane. Also, in any bar or
restaurant you can always order the most popular
and author's cocktails.
4
Takamaka secret The bad news having tried
Takamaku at least once, you will miss it for a
very long time. Some fly all the way to Dubai to
buy it or ask friends to take with them at least
a small bottle on the way from these
edges. There are many types of Takamaka rum.
They will appeal to any gourmet as ladies who
prefer a softer and more unusual taste, so are
gentlemen who wish to taste a real pirate rum.
5
Souvenirs Coco de mer liquor can be brought only
from Seychelles. True, to find it during holidays
is not all. But in a duty free it is almost
always available. A standard bottle of Coco
dAmour liqueur (about 0.5 liters) costs about
40-45 euros, and a small souvenir (50 ml) can be
bought for 5 euros. Women usually prefer a
lighter liqueur based on lemon mint -
Citronella. In Seychelles you can buy an
excellent rum. The most popular are Takamaka and
Paradise. A good selection of alcohol in Victoria
in the Takamaka Bay store, and outside the
capital (closer to Beau Vallon) - in the Spirit
Artisanal Seychelles. Here rum, liqueurs and
other alcohol can be bought in souvenir bottles.
6
Customs Concerning an importation of alcohol to
Seychelles for one adult, it is allowed to take
2 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of another
alcoholic beverage. You can take with you
something especially beloved right from a country
of departure if you do not want to buy bottles in
duty-free during the docking and then walk with
them before boarding the next plane. Or you can
do the opposite, take a walk around the airport
in Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi and find something
that we dont have for sale.
7
Non-alcohol drinks National drinks Seychelles
locals prefer to drink strong local tea in the
morning. Almost everywhere sell lemonade or a
type of fruit drink. Be sure to try a mango
cocktail and the local non-alcoholic fruit drink
called ficiter.
