  • Accent-
  • The accent is an emphasis at the beginning of a
    musical sound.
  • Adagio-
  • It is an Italian word that means a slow tempo or
    slow speed.
  • Andante-
  • It is also an Italian word that walking tempo or
    walking pace (Moderate Speed).
  • Bar-
  • A bar is a specific number of musical sounds
    organized within a measure. These numbers are
    contained within two solid lines called bar
    lines.

  • Cadenza-
  • Cadenza is another Italian word for music.
    Cadenza is an extended solo in an orchestral
    work.

  • Its origin is German protestant hymn tune. It
    means a choral composition for voices or
    instruments. It is sometimes used as a choir or
    chorus.

  • It is a measurement of time that contains a
    specific number of pulses. A time signature
    defines it within bar lines.
  • Opus-
  • It is a Latin word that means work. The composer
    usually assigns the work numbers. These numbers
    are assigned in order of composition, but
    sometimes it is accredited by publication orders.
  • Resolution-
  • It is a group of Chords that create harmonic
    tension. When this tension is released with a
    calm chord, it is resolved.
  • Scale
  • It is an ordered succession of adjacent pitches
    which is arranged in a sequence of whole steps.
    A specific scale is defined by a characteristic
    interval pattern and the most prominent pitch
    called tonic.
