  tea gardens but also in the dense jungles that

  sanctuaries and national park like Manas National
  Park in Assam. The Western Dooars are also known
  as the Bengal Dooars, and Eastern Dooars also as
  the Assam Dooars.

SUNDERBANS

• The Sundarbans freshwater swamp forests are
  a tropical moist broadleaf forest ecoregion of
  Bangladesh. It represents the brackish swamp
  forests that lie behind the Sundarbans Mangroves,
  where the salinity is more pronounced. It
  comprises closed and open mangrove forests,
  agriculturally used land, mudflats and barren
  land, and is intersected by multiple tidal streams
  and channels.

SHANTINIKETAN

• It was established by Maharshi Devendranath
  Tagore, and later expanded by his
  son Rabindranath Tagore whose vision became what
  is now a university. At the school level
  are Pathna Bhavana and Siksha Satra . Apart from
  a number of courses in humanities, science and
  education, Visva-Bharati University offers a
  range of music, dance and art courses and lays
  emphasis on language courses.

LATAGURI

• Lataguri is a small town located in
  the Jalpaiguri district of Indian state of West
  Bengal. The village also contains a "Nature
  Interpretation Center", which gives information
  about the flora and fauna of the area. A few
  roadside restaurants ("Dhabas") and hotels cater
  for tourists.
