distinct personalities. They can also be taken

pets is that if they get loose, they will chew
anything and everything that they come across,
which could lead to costly expenses for you at
the end of your lease term. Ferrets Ferrets are
known for being silly tricksters. They are
extremely playful creatures that love all sorts
of attention, making them wonderful pets. They do
well in apartment settings because they dont
need a whole lot of space when they are caged.
They do, however, like to roam free and enjoy
hiding! They also tend to have an odor, so youll
need to make sure that they are properly bathed
and cared for to avoid your apartment rental
smelling like a zoo. Cats Cats make great
apartment pets because, quite frankly, they dont
require much at all. In fact, give them water,
food, and a warm place to lie in the sun and they
have pretty much everything that they need from
you. Many cats do tend to shed, so be mindful of
this when choosing a breed. Birds Birds are
wonderful pets and have incredibly fun
personalities. Small birds dont take up a lot
of space at all and will clean themselves! The
downfall of birds as pets is that they do tend
to make a mess (throwing seed out of their cages
and onto your apartment rental floor). They also
love to sing, which you may love, but your
neighbors may not be so fond of. Dogs Believe
it or not, dogs can also be great apartment pets,
depending on their size and breed. You wouldnt,
for example, want to have a 200 pound Great Dane
living in your 500 square foot apartment, but a
Chihuahua or a Yorkie may thrive in the same
setting. If you choose to get a dog, make sure
that your apartment community doesnt have breed
or size restrictions, and that there is ample
