HOUSES

• The School House System is an important part of
  student life to inspire a healthy sense of
  competition and a sense of belonging, to learn
  how to work as a team. There are four houses in
  the school and they are named after famous
  mountain ranges of India. The houses are

• Vindhyachal
• Shiwalik

ADMISSION GUIDELINES

• Application for Registration can be filled online
  or physically submitted at any of the two
  School's premises (i.e. The Modern School or
  Modern Early Years) on any working day
  (Monday-Friday) from 900 a.m. to 200 p.m.
• Admission criteria as per NCR guidlines
• The Modern School will be admitting students from
  Nursery-Class XI. Modern Early Years branch is
  only catering to Nursery and K.G.
• Submission of duly completed forms will be
  against payment of Rs.100/- per form (this can be
  submitted in cash / cheque or through payment
  gateway, if submitting online).
• The School provides transport facility for both
  The Modern School and Modern Early Years branch.
  Only one form will be accepted for one child.

EXAMINATION AND PROMOTION

• The Modern School follows the following
  examination and promotion policy-
• 1. Primary Classes (P1- P3) The session is
  divided into two terms. Students are marked in
  each term for scholastic and co scholastic areas
  on a 5 point and 3 point grading scale.
  Scholastic areas comprises of written
  assessments, oral skills, subject enrichment
  activities and notebook upkeep and submission.
• 2. Classes P4- P5 The session is divided into
  two terms. Students are marked in each term for
  scholastic and co scholastic areas on a 5 point
  and 3 point grading scale. Scholastic areas
  include Periodic Assessment of 40 marks converted
  to 10 and written assessments, oral skills,
  subject enrichment activities and notebook upkeep
  and submission. Half Yearly/ Final Examination of
  80 marks each is conducted.
• 3. Classes S1-S3 The session is divided into
  two terms. Students are marked in each term for
  scholastic and co scholastic areas on a 5 point
  and 3 point grading scale. Scholastic areas
  include Periodic Assessment of 40 marks converted
  to 10 and written assessments, oral skills,
  subject enrichment activities and notebook upkeep
  and submission. Half Yearly/ Final Examination of
  80 marks each is conducted.
• 4. Classes S4-S5 The assessment shall be as per
  the CBSE pattern. Three periodic assessments and
  one Final Exam of 80 marks each shall be
  conducted.

LABS

• The Modern School has the following laboratories
  to facilitate the learning of the students
  Mathematics Laboratory Students learn and
  explore mathematical concepts and verify
  mathematical facts and theorems through a variety
  of activities using different materials. It
  provides an opportunity to students to understand
  and internalize the basic mathematical concepts
  through concrete objects and situations. It helps
  the students to build interest and confidence in
  learning the subject. Social science laboratory
  Some of the concepts where imagination is
  difficult are taught with the help of models. The
  lab breaks monotony in teaching and learning
  processes. It facilitates learning for a student
  through models displayed in the lab

LIBRARY

• The Modern School, believes in the culture of
  reading. The campus lays claim to a trove of 7000
  plus books in our library for all the age groups
  of students and facilitators. It subscribes to
  various magazines periodicals covering varied
  topics and stocks CDs/DVDs with subject related
  content. Teachers use the library to supplement
  their teaching lessons with facts and references
  from around the world

ACTIVITY ROOMS

• Here, at The Modern School, we hone skills of
  the child and accelerate them to achieve their
  dream. We believe that Art is the form of any
  activity performed to express its inner self.
  Students are encouraged and facilitated for
  sketching and painting. The walls of the entire
  building of the school boast of the master pieces
  by the students. The school is well equipped with
  two separate Art rooms to lay emphasis on the
  needs of the different age of the students
