What is personal safety and why is it
important?

• In mariners life, personal safety and social
  responsibilities (PSSR) is conducted in basic
  STCW courses.The aim of PSSR course is to provide
  basic and mandatory training to seafarers about
  the safety procedures and accident preventions
  while working onboard a ship. It gives detailed
  knowledge to safeguard himself/herself from any
  kind of accident or misfortune. Also, this course
  helps in getting acquainted with conditions
  onboard the ship.
