  • How to do Asus router factory reset?

Follow below methods for Asus router factory
reset.Go to the reset button, press and hold it
while the router is still powered on.Take a pin
or sharp-pointed pen. Press and hold the reset
button. After 10-15 seconds, the power indicator
will start flashing upon successful reset.During
this process, power light will be on and the
other lights will be back on after 1-2mins.

  • Now you have to connect your device to the
    wireless named "ASUS." Set up the network after
    that.
  • After getting connected, router setup page will
    open.
  • If you cannot see the page, go to link-
    http//192.168.1.1 using your internet browser.
  • You will find that the default username is
    "admin." The default password should be "admin.
  • Tap on "Go" button at the bottom of the page.

  • Now you need to set a new Password.
  • To set a new router administrator password, it is
    suggested to use the default password - "admin"
  • If you want to set your own router password, then
    make sure it is easy to remember. To access
    router admin page again, you need to do a hard
    reset of router again.

  • For the new wireless setting, go to Wireless
    Setting page. Enter the network name (SSID) and
    network key (password) that you want to set for
    both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
  • Make sure you do not set the same network name
    (SSID) for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. But, you can set
    same network key for both.

  • After the setting is complete, a message will
    appear saying that You have changed SSID or
    security setting. Thus it will result in wireless
    clients disconnect. Please adjust the client's
    setting for connecting again.
  • Now try to connect your device to the new network
    settings. Go to the wireless icon on your device
    to connect to new wireless name and key in the
    network key set earlier read more.
