Title: Top 6 Wedding Venues in Washington DC - WCWV
1Dear bride, I know how difficult it is to find a
Washington DC wedding venue. Therere so many
out there. Where do you even start? Having
photographed many weddings, I have some
Washington DC wedding locations I absolutely
love. Here are my top 6 wedding venues in
Washington DC. Hopefully, these suggestions are
useful in planning your wedding. Meridian
House Meridian House is a buried gem in the
Washington DC area. Once you walk inside, it is
like entering an old-fashioned European mansion.
The best part of this wedding venue is the
outside with the tree grove and plenty of
beautiful outdoor space. This has to be your
place if you wish to have a venue different from
the traditional ballroom.
Anderson House This is another place in
Washington DC where you find that estate feeling
within the busy city. Once you enter through the
gates, you get into a place packed with history
incredible architecture. My personal favorite
place to take pictures is the classic courtyard
pool. It produces the dreamiest portraits and the
ideal place for your cocktail hour too.
2Goodstone Inn Even though this venue is outside
the city, it is worth the drive. The background
is rolling hills unlimited space. Did you know
Michael Jackson stayed here for months? That is
why they have his picture in the manor house! Now
you know. And they also have a great restaurant
on the premise, so it never hurts to check it
out.
Stone Tower Winery If there is one local
wintery that is my absolute favorite, it is Stone
Tower Winery. The view here is simply amazing.
The sunset over the sweeping hills is pure magic
and will help you plan your wedding to avoid the
harsh light.
3Salamander Resort This is another beautiful
venue that is outside the city too. Theres lots
of greenery at the Salamander Resort so many
places to photograph. Cocktail hour in the
Culinary Garden is a must, AND they have one of
the BEST spas ever.
Mayflower Hotel
4This beautiful hotel is located in the heart of
the city. It is a great location and a fantastic
facility! You do have to account that you need to
have a secondary location to do portraits since
theres no courtyard or outdoor area there, but
because of the location, you can either do your
pictures at Farragut Square Park or at the
monuments.
