Cataract Surgery
Cataract surgery is a procedure to remove the
lens of your eye and, in most cases, replace it
with an artificial lens. Normally, the lens of
your eye is clear. A cataract causes the lens to
become cloudy, which eventually affects your
vision

Retina and Vitreous
Blood is supplied to the retina and the optic
nerve by blood vessels that maintain the health
of these tissues. In front of the retina is the
vitreous cavity, which is filled with a gel-like
substance called the Vitreous.

Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that
gradually steal sight without warning. In the
early stages of the disease, there may be no
symptoms. It is estimated that half of the
people affected by Glaucoma may noy know they
have it.

Cornea
The Cornea is the clear outer layer at the front
of the eye. The Cornea helps your eye to focus
light so you can see clearly.

Two common fallacies about eye check- ups are
that if you can see fine, you don't need an
examination by an ophthalmologist and that
vision screenings are just eye examinations by a
different name. A thorough eye examination is
recommended for all adults above age of 40 years
on regular basis.

Pediatric Ophthalmology
We recommend that pre-school children receive a
complete eye examination at the age of 5 years
or earlier if any problem is noticed. If you
answer "yes" or "sometimes" to four or more of
the following questions, your child may have a
visual problem.
