    comparable to visiting a Swiss or Scandinavian
    city in Europe. When you stay here you must
    accept that you will spend more money than in
    other US cities.  San Francisco, officially the
    City and County of San Francisco and colloquially
    known as SF, San Fran, Frisco, or The City, is
    the cultural, commercial, and financial center of
    Northern California. San Francisco is a city in
    California famous for its steep streets and movie
    locations.   San Francisco, the Golden Gate
    Bridge and Alcatraz Island are likely high on the
    must-see list. Here are a few must see Monuments

List of Top Famous Monuments of San Francisco
  • Golden Gate Bridge
  • The distinctive red color and supporting
    towers of the Golden Gate Bridge combine to make
    this a memorable landmark by day, and when the
    sun sets at the end of the day, the night-time
    illuminations give the bridge a whole new
    character. The Golden Gate Bridge is probably the
    most famous bridge in the world.  It has featured
    in many movies and a visit to this famous bridge
    doesnt disappoint.

  • Pioneer's Monument
  • It is a tall landmark in the city and is
    situated on Alamo Square.  Lick. It is located on
    Fulton Street between Hyde and Larkin Streets in
    the Civic Center, of San Francisco, California.
    The monument includes sketches at the base,
    depicting some of the earliest pioneers in
    California, such as Sir Francis Drake. These
    days, it is remarkable to learn that it was one
    of the only freestanding structures in the entire
    city to be left standing after the powerful
    earthquake in 1906.

  • Coit Tower
  • The Coit Tower is situated on Telegraph Hill,
    within Pioneer Park, where it dates all the way
    back to 1932. This tall tower stands out in the
    area and at the top are some of the best
    panoramic views of San Francisco and the bay in
    the whole city. Erected in 1993, the Coit Tower
    measures in at some 210 feet / 64 meters. The
    Coit Tower was built in 1933 with funds from
    Lillie Hitchcock Coit. She was an eccentric
    personality who was best known for her support of
    the local firemen.
