INTRODUCTION
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) offered by AIPH
University aims to impart research training to
the scholars and prepare them for a career in
independent investigation and original research
enabling them to make significant contribution to
knowledge and discovery in their respective
fields. The scholars with the degree of PhD can
make a career in academics, industry and
consultancy assignments as per their aptitude.
The scholars shall undertake course work for a
minimum of one semester consisting of three
papers including research methodology.

CURRICULUM
Minimum duration of the PhD course is three years
including one semester of course work. A scholar
can submit his/her thesis anytime during 3-6
years. This period may be extended for one year
(Yr 7) under extraordinary circumstances with
approval of the research committee and DRC.

ELIGIBILITY
The minimum academic qualification required for
admission in that the candidate possessing a
Masters degree with at least 55 marks in the
concerned subject or the allied subjects from the
recognized institution, shall be eligible to
apply for the Ph.D. programme. The allied
subjects for admission to Ph.D. in a particular
department shall be decided by the DRC of the
respective departments.
