  • If youre born into an Indian family, chances are
that you would be asked to try for sarkari jobs
at least once in your lifetime. The importance of
the good old sarkari naukri has been present
since our parents times, and its not going to
fade away anytime soon. Sarkari jobs are
considered to be more beneficial for one's career
in the long run and come with greater advantages
than their private counterparts. Unlike most
private jobs that require you to sacrifice your
personal life for work commitments, government
jobs ensure that you enjoy high salaries,
vacations, allowances, job security and other
benefits apart from being revered among your
    well-wishers.

4
High salary packages
  • Though government jobs dont offer frequent
increments, they do offer periodical pay
commissions and other increments that are
unthinkable in the private job sector. Public
Sector Undertaking (PSU) companies such as the
Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) and Coal India
Limited (CIL) hire fresh engineering students at
a remuneration of ?10 LPA and above. Also, let us
not ignore the residential, travel and medical
allowances that come with the same.

5
Salary Incentives
  • Private job employees receive increments,
appraisals and other perks based on their
experience in an open and flexible method.
However, their salaries can be deducted due to
    cost-cutting and other economic disadvantages,
which is extremely unlikely in sarkari jobs.
Government employees enjoy fixed pay depending on
their formal education and job experience.
Although govt jobs may seem to have lesser
in-hand salaries, if they were to be calculated
along with the monthly incentives, government job
    salaries are very high.

6
More Holidays
  • Most government employees do not work on weekends
or have an alternate system. In any case,
government employees receive leaves much easier
than their private counterparts. Not just that,
one enjoys 30 paid and casual leaves along with
180 days worth of maternity leave and other
medical allowances. The C-Dot allowances enable
outstation employees to receive yearly airfare to
their native town. Also, the Reserve Bank of
India (RBI) gives an annual leave for Indian
postings. In sarkari naukri, they have days off
for every public holiday in the year.

7
Medical Allowances
  • Free medical amenities are fully covered in most
government jobs, which makes it one of the
biggest advantages. A Public Sector Undertaking
(PSU) employee can apply for the compensation of
medical costs and check-ups at enlisted
government hospitals. The healthcare plans for
    government employees comprise life insurance,
medical and dental policies as well. Though some
private companies may offer healthcare policies,
they cannot be equated to the incentives offered
    by sarkari jobs.

8
Accommodation
  • Sarkari naukri offers rented accommodation in
quarters, where many employees belonging to the
same organisation live together. Though most of
them live with their families, many employees
live on their own as well.

9
Fixed Working Hours
  • Private employees are required to respond to
their emails after hours, while sarkari naukri
employees rarely work beyond their office
timings. Though they work on strict deadlines as
well, the work pressure is manageable and can be
    completed easily.

10
Good Reputation
  • Some government jobs require foreign postings,
    where employees shall receive world-class
treatment at the governments expense. Also,
foreign postings are quite common in superior
government positions such as in the Ministry of
External Affairs where one can take their
vehicle and carry 1400 kgs worth of luggage.

11
Job Security
  • A central or state government employee enjoys job
security in an age of volatile job markets. One
of the biggest concerns regarding private-sector
jobs is the constant team downsizing, which
    relates to job insecurity.

12
Reduced Work Stress
  • Government employees enjoy a relaxed job
environment with a minimal workload. On the other
hand, private job employees suffer from poor
work-life balance and a stressful working
environment. Dealing with stringent deadlines and
work pressure takes a toll on the employees
physical and mental health. In sarkari jobs,
there is no question of unrealistic deadlines and
    unwanted work pressure.
