4- Nepal, a sovereign Independent Kingdom, lies
between 80 degree 12' east longitude and 26
degree 22' and 30 degree 27' north latitude. It
is bounded on the north by the Tibet Autonomous
Region of the People's Republic of China on the
east, south and the west by different regions of
India. - The length of the Kingdom is 885 kilometers
east-west and its breadth varies from 145 to 241
kilometers north-south. The total area of Nepal
is 147,181 sq. km. - The capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu.
- Nepali is the national language.
- The currency of Nepal is Nepali Rupee (1USD

The national flag of Nepal is the world's
only nonquadrilateral national flag. The flag is
a simplified combination of two single
pennons, the vexillological word for a pennant.
Red color is the sign of victory in war. The blue
border is the color of peace.

The word Kumari is derived from the Sanskrit
Kaumarya, meaning "princess". A Nepali Kumari is
believed to be the living incarnation of the

his sword and drained the water from the lake,
thus creating the Kathmandu Valley. - Songtsen Gompo, King of the Tubo Kingdom in the
Tang Dynasty married a Nepalese princess
