Indian evisa
  • The Government of India launched Indian e-Visa
    system for foreigners travelling to India. It is
    initiated to make travelling to India a memorable
    and hassle free experience. e-Visa for India has
    been sub-categorized into three types, e-Tourist
    Visa, e-Medical Visa, e-Business Visa,
    e-Conference Visa and e-Medical Attendant Visa.
    The applicants can apply for any of these e-Visa
    categories depending upon their purpose of visit
    to India.

Instruction for e-visa application
  • You can apply for Indian e-Visa under 5
    categories- e-Tourist visa, e-Business Visa,
    e-Medical visa, e-Conference Visa and e-Medical
    Attendant Visa. A foreigner will be permitted to
    club these categories.
  • Applicants of the eligible countries/territories
    may apply minimum 4 days before the date of
    arrival and can be made as early as 120 days in
    advance.
  • e-Visa can be availed for maximum of two times in
    a calendar year.
  • Applicant needs to upload a recent front facing
    photograph (not less than six months old) with
    white background and scanned copy of Passport
    containing personal details like name, date of
    birth, nationality, expiry date etc. The
    application is liable to be rejected if the
    uploaded documents and photograph are not clear
    or do not follow the specified instructions.
  • The applicant needs to upload other documents
    like cover letter of hospital while applying for
    e-Medical Visa and copy of business card if
    applying for e-business Visa.
  • Applicants should carry a printed copy of
    Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) which was
    sent on mail along with them at the time of
    travel. Applicants can track the status of their
    e-Visa application online
  • The validity of e-Visa will be 365 days from the
    date of arrival in India. Double entry is
    permitted on e-Tourist Visa and e-Business Visa.
    Triple entry will be permitted on e-Medical Visa.
  • e-Visa fee is country/Territory specific. Bank
    transaction charges of 2.5 will be charged
    additionally on applicable e-Visa fees. The fee
    must be paid at least 4 days before the expected
    date of travel otherwise application will not be
    processed.
  • e-Visa fee once submitted is non-refundable as
    the fee is for processing of the application and
    is not dependent on either Grant or Rejection of
    Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

Indian tourist visa
  • The Government of India introduced e-Tourist Visa
    Facility (eTV) as an Online Travel Authorization.
    It is available for Nationals of 165 countries
    around the world. International travelers who
    plan to visit India for sightseeing, recreation,
    casual visit to meet their friends or relatives
    can apply for the Indian e-Tourist Visa or
    Electronic Tourist Visa.
  • Requirements for Indian e-Tourist Visa
  • The applicants Passport should have at least 6
    months validity from the date of arrival in
    India.
  • The Passport should have at least two blank pages
    for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
  • Travelers need to have a return ticket or onward
    journey ticket and sufficient money to spend
    during his / her stay in India.
  • The Indian e-Visa is not available to Diplomatic
    / Official Passport Holders.

Indian Medical Visa
  • The Government of India has introduced e-Medical
    Visa for India for foreign nationals who are
    traveling to India for a medical treatment. The
    treatment has to be under the Indian system of
    Medicine or any other specialized medical
    treatment in reputed and recognized hospitals or
    treatment centers in India.
  • Requirements for Indian e-Medical Visa
  • The applicants Passport should have at least 6
    months validity from the date of arrival in
    India.
  • The Passport should have at least two blank pages
    for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
  • Permission is granted only for the short-term
    Medical treatments in reputed and recognized
    hospitals/treatment centers in India
  • Relevant letters/documents signed and stamped by
    the concerned hospitals/doctors are required to
    validate the visa.
  • Validity for Indian Medical e-Visa
  • The Indian e-Visa for Medical is valid for 60
    days from the date of arrival in India.
  • Three entries are permitted for Indian e-Medical
    Visa.
  • Maximum of two visits are allowed in one calendar
    year.

e-Business visa
  • Indian e-Business visa
  • The e-Business Visa for India is an online
    electronic travel authorization. Foreigners who
    want to visit India to attend business or
    technical meetings, set up industrial/ business
    venture, for trade, to deliver lectures under
    Global Initiative for Academic Networks (GIAN),
    for sales/purchase or to participate in
    exhibitions, business or trade fairs
  • Requirements for Indian e-Business Visa
  • The applicants Passport should have at least 6
    months validity from the date of arrival in
    India.
  • The Passport should have at least two blank pages
    for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
  • Permission is granted only if the visit involves
    legal business activities within the country.
  • Copy of Business card/Invitation card or letter
    from the Company is required to validate the
    visa.
  • Validity for Indian Business e-Visa
  • The Indian e-Visa for Business is valid for 60
    days from the date of arrival in India.
  • Two entries are permitted for Indian e-Business
    Visa.
  • Maximum of two visits are allowed in one calendar
    year.

Documents Required
  • Important Documents for Indian e-Visa
  • All the documents including invitation letters,
    business visiting cards, letters etc. should be
    submitted in English language only.
    Non-compliance may lead to cancellation of visa
    applications.
  • For e-Tourist Visa
  • A digital photograph of the applicant.
  • Scanned copy of the first biographical page of
    the Passport which holds all the personal details
    in PDF format with maximum 3 MB of size.
  • For e-Medical Visa
  • A digital photograph of the applicant.
  • Scanned copy of the first biographical page of
    the Passport which holds all the personal details
    in PDF format with maximum 3 MB of size.
  • A letter on the letterhead of the Hospital in
    India that shows that the applicant has been
    advised to go for specialized medical treatment
    in PDF format with maximum 3 MB of size.
  • For e-Business Visa
  • A digital photograph of the applicant.
  • Scanned copy of the first biographical page of
    the Passport which holds all the personal details
    in PDF format with maximum 3 MB of size.
  • A Business card or visiting card of the traveling
    person or a letter from the Company which
    justifies the purpose of travel in PDF format
    with maximum 3 MB of size.
