Title: 7 reasons why you may feel chest pain during exercise
17 REASONS YOU WHY MAY FEEL CHEST PAIN DURING
EXERCISE
2INTRODUCTION
- Chest pain has become a common medical condition
and the second highest cause of Emergency room.
Chest pain serves as the initial symptom of
several diseases. - The heart specialists in Bangalore have
researched the possible reasons for chest pain
during exercise as follows
3- Muscle Strain or Injured rib
- During exercise, one flexes his muscles and in
case of strain in muscles, one may observe
inflammation of muscles. The strain around the
tendons of the rib results in chest pain during
exercise. In case of any injury near the rib such
as breaks, fracture or bruise may result in chest
pain. - Peptic Ulcer
- Peptic ulcers (ulcers on the lining of the
stomach) may result in recurring discomfort and
pain around the chest. The instant remedy to it
is gulping an antacid that is available in the
nearby pharmacy.
4- Problem in heart
- When it comes to chest pain, the first thing
every common people relates to is a heart
problem. Heart attack, medically termed as
myocardial infarction is the most common reason
for chest pain. The medical condition where the
coronary artery is blocked and the heart loses
oxygen is referred to as a heart attack. - Another reason for chest pain is Angina Pectoris
which occurs due to a lack of blood supply in the
heart region. The chest pain due to Angina may
often be mistaken as a heart attack. Hypertrophic
Cardiomyopathy (HCM) is common disease-inducing
chest pain. In this disease, the cells of the
heart enlarge thickening the walls of the
ventricles of the heart. - There are several heart hospitals in Bangalore
that take care of all the heart-related diseases
and provide emergency services in case of extreme
chest pain.
5- Problems in the Lungs
- Asthma is the most common medical condition these
days. In the case of asthma, chest pain occurs as
the pathways of air into the lungs are affected
in this medical condition. Exercise triggers the
inflamed airways into the lungs, making it
difficult for the person to breathe and induce
intolerable chest pain. - Chest pain may occur due to lung infection (such
as Pneumonia), Pleurisy (inflammation of the
covering of the lungs) or collapsed lungs. - Problem in Esophagus
- One may experience chest pain due to oesophagal
spasms/ contraction, hypersensitivity of the food
pipe or rupture of oesophagus/food pipe. - These are the possible reasons related to the
oesophagus that can lead to chest pain.
6- Hiatal Hernia
- Hiatal Hernia is the medical condition where the
top of the stomach pushes itself up into the
chest. This is a common state that induces Chest
pain as well as heartburn and symptoms of
GERD(Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease). - Panic Attack
- While the above problems focus only on physical
problems, we should also consider the role of
mental health in case of chest pain. Some people
experience chest pain when they are in a state of
panic under certain circumstances. Anxiety attack
or trauma due to emotional reasons may lead to
chest pain.
7Chest pain may occur due to minor reasons like
inflammation or rib injury as well as serious
conditions like heart attack, hiatal hernia which
requires serious medical attention. As the
muscles are stressed during exercise, there is a
greater chance of chest pain. One may follow some
precautions to prevent chest pain during
exercises such as eating a balanced diet,
exercising regularly, avoiding tobacco and
alcohol, taking proper medication for high blood
pressure and asthma.
