Gokak water fall

  • It is a spectacular water fall situated in the
    east of Belgaum city. The waterfall is at the
    distance of 73 km from Belgaum and 6 km away from
    Gokak city. The thick reddish brown water sweeps
    far over the brink of the cliff with a dull roar
    that can be heard from some distance. There is a
    hanging bridge across the river, measuring about
    201 metres (659 ft). Its height above the rock
    bed is 14 metres (46 ft). There is an old
    electricity generation station and electricity
    was generated here for the first time in 1887.

  • The beautiful fort was built by the king of the
    Ratta dynasty named, Bichi Raja. The fort was
    built to protect the kingdom from any invasion.
    Belgaum fort is one of the oldest fort in
    Karnataka, the fort has an oval shape and is
    surrounded by a deep and wide moat excavated in
    soft red stone.

    the wall of the fort from its base as strong as

Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuaries

  • Bhimgad is a wildlife sanctuary, located 35 km
    away from Belgaum.The sanctuary is located in the
    western Ghats of Jamboti village in Karnataka.
    The fort is named behind the Bhimgad Fort, it was
    established by Shivaji Maharaj . The sanctuaries
    is widely famous for its extensive flaura and
    fauna. It is one of the must visit place, near
