Education For Children
The importance of education cannot be
overestimated, as it is the key to a bright and
successful future. At the Riayah Foundation, it
is our firm belief that all children deserve a
chance to get a quality education, as it is the
best way for them to realize their true
potential. Our focus is to provide children with
the opportunity to learn and develop, so they can
grow up to be an integral and healthy part of
their communities.

Healthcare Non Profit Organizations
One of the primary focuses of the Riayah
Foundation is to initiate a quality medical care
program in Liberia for those who need it. We are
committed to providing basic healthcare to the
people of Liberia. In order to achieve this
monumental goal, we will work to improve
conditions one community at a time. We believe
the best way to increase awareness of health
issues is through education. One of our current
goals is to open an orphanage and complement it
by building a school for the children.

Leadership Development
A community/society cannot flourish without good
leadership. It is the leader who inspires the
people around him and gives them the vision to
work towards a better future. This is especially
important when it comes to countries and
communities that have been hit in the worst ways
possible by poverty. After being knocked down by
two civil wars and an Ebola epidemic, the people
of Liberia need someone to give them hope!

Youth Development Programs
 The world today is moving towards
entrepreneurship, and fashion design is one of
the leading entrepreneurial skills that Liberian
youth can learn easily. Learning to sew and/or
become fashion designers will both enable them to
provide for their own immediate clothing needs
and provide them with a marketable skill needed
by others. We are committed to teaching them how
to make a living from this skill.

Empowerment of Girls
Riayah was founded with a vision to empower
girls to become a contributing and productive
part of their community. We believe all humans
have the ability to overcome obstacles, and if
given the right motivation and resources, they
can achieve wonders. This is what we aim for with
our mission of empowering girls from the most
socially and economically disadvantaged
communities of Liberia.

Sponsorship
Liberia is a country where adults have an average
of 2.5 years of schooling, and the 2017 literacy
rate for adults ages 15-24 (meaning they can
write and read a simple complete sentence about
themselves) was 49. More than half of
primary-school-age children are currently not in
school, and this percentage increases
dramatically in secondary school.
